Saturday morning I got up way before I wanted to (AKA 6AM) and headed to Lugoff to stash a BFF in my car for a quick (ha!) little drive to Charleston.
We drove the scary, cotton farm-y, million bridges & meat processing plants of doom way to Charleston. AKA SC 601. Yep. Or maybe we're just crazy. (You definitely wouldn't like riding down 601, Rae Rae!)

Once arriving safely in Charleston, we headed straight for food! Our first culinary adventure of the day was at Saffron Cafe and Bakery. We opted for the Avocado and Crab Stack appetizer. I ordered a chicken salad croissant and BFF ordered curry. They also brought out some tasty bread. :)

Next we drove through Mount Pleasant to find some coffee... Ended up at a place called Metto that serves what is now my favorite thing ever -- honey lattes! Cinnamon + vanilla + honey. Three things that can make any dish my favorite.
We spent like two hours (eh, ish, you know) trying to park in a parking garage then wandered the streets before heading to Southend Brewery to meet up with some Palmetto Bloggers. I tried the brewery's blonde & red brews. Both were pretty good but I think the blonde was the best! I went super Southern and ordered meatloaf, mac & cheese and collards for dinner (somehow I took no pictures of this?). Great choice. I'm still snacking on those leftovers...
After dinner, we headed to Kaminsky's for dessert (cappucino float, hello!) and coffee. It was so nice to put some faces to blogs and get to know everyone a bit more! We also received personalized Palmetto Blogger tote bags with a hard apple cider scented Soap for your Soul candle, Wired Essentials earrings, and a scarf! (Forgot to get pictures of these, too... Not a good habit for a blogger...)

Cramming all of that food, driving & socializing into one day tired me out fast. I pooped the party shortly after dessert and went straight to sleep. (In case you guys didn't know, I'm an old tired woman at heart and relish being in bed before 10PM.)
I had a blast meeting new people and trying new things! I think I've hit my quota for that for the quarter, at least. :)
Next up: what happened Sunday! How could so much happen Sunday that I needed a third post? I just don't know. This is very unusual of me...
Thanks for tuning in! See you in part three.

There's another one coming in May, I think! Hopefully you can come to that one. It's great to meet everyone in person.
That coffee was so good that I'd go back to Charleston JUST for that... :D
You should! It's a good time. Have fun in RH!
